We’ve collated feedback from:

Inclusive Leadership for Senior Leaders training sessions, delivered by Dr Howard Haughton,

– the Equality, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion training sessions, delivered by Stephen Morley, and

– the four Every Day Inclusion training sessions, delivered by Pat Rose and Errol Pitter

to Connection Support between May 2021 and Dec 2021.

This is some of the feedback that we received…

Chris Keating, CEO, said: “Working with experts Diversity Trust and their founder Berkeley Wilde has enabled us to take the first and significant step toward understanding what Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) means to us at Connection Support. I’m pleased that so many of our team, including staff, volunteers and board members have taken part in this collaborative process.

The knowledge and experience held by Diversity Trust, alongside a curious and sensitive approach have enabled us to dig deeper and reflect on how we honestly feel Connection Support is doing in relation to EDI. There are areas to celebrate as well as changes we want and need to make.

The learnings, reflections and recommendations that have come out of this project will be available for everyone to hear about at the ‘Let’s talk about Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at Connection Support’ online event. These recommendations have formed the foundations of our EDI development plan which we will take forward together.

There is positive work to be done, and I look forward to working together on this, as each one of us contributes toward Connection Support being a welcoming, inclusive, creative and fair organisation.

Thank you, Diversity Trust, for helping us get started!”

Amy Delisser, Director and Deputy CEO Connection Support, and client lead, said: “Our staff recently attended the Inclusive Leadership training delivered by Dr Howard Haughton. He gave useful insights, tips and tricks for our Team managers and Senior managers around issues surrounding diversity, inclusion and unconscious bias. Especially useful was the facilitating conversations about race. We look forward to having many more sessions about Diversity and Inclusion delivered to our staff through The Diversity Trust.
