“The webinar The Diversity Trust delivered on Hate Crime was a highly valuable session for the VCSE sector. It provided a clear and practical overview of what hate crime is, helping to build confidence in recognising incidents that might otherwise be overlooked. The guidance on how to report hate crime to the relevant authorities was particularly useful, breaking down the process into simple, manageable steps. It made something that can feel complex much easier to understand and act on.
Feedback from organisations attending also suggested the focus on supporting individuals affected by hate crime especially impactful. The session emphasised empathy, active listening and appropriate boundaries, which are essential when working with vulnerable people.
