Gender Diversity Series

Our Gender Diversity Series is a flexible, interactive training programme designed to support individuals and organisations to develop knowledge, challenge assumptions and create inclusive environments.

This training can be delivered as individual modules or as a complete learning journey.


Delivery Options

  • Four interactive online sessions (1.5 hours each)
  • One full-day, in-person workshop
  • Please note it is essential to complete Module One before Module’s Two or Three
  • Module Four is offered as a discussion session to include time for questions and answers, following on from Modules One – Three.

Module One

Deconstructing Binary Gender and Understanding the Language of Gender

This session explores how traditional binary thinking has shaped our understanding of gender, and how this framework can limit expression and inclusion.

Participants will:

  • Revisit foundational biological concepts, including chromosomes and hormones
  • Explore how gender has been understood across history and cultures
  • Consider examples from the natural world that challenge binary assumptions
  • Gain insight into global perspectives and the prevalence of gender diversity

This module builds a strong foundation of knowledge, supporting the journey from awareness to meaningful inclusion.

Duration: 1.5 hours


Module Two

Gender Diversity and Intersectionality: Neurodiversity and Age

Building on Module One, this session deepens understanding by exploring how gender diversity intersects with other aspects of identity.

Participants will:

  • Examine the difference between helpful generalisations and harmful stereotypes
  • Explore concepts of privilege and oppression
  • Understand diversity versus pathology frameworks
  • Learn about the overlap between gender diversity and neurodiversity
  • Consider how age influences lived experiences of gender diversity

This session expands awareness and encourages more nuanced, inclusive thinking.

Duration: 1.5 hours


Module Three

Gender Diversity and Intersectionality: Race, Culture and Religion

This module explores how cultural, racial, and religious contexts shape experiences and perceptions of gender diversity.

Participants will:

  • Examine global perspectives on gender diversity and intersex experiences
  • Understand how culture, race, and religion influence identity and inclusion
  • Explore contemporary topics such as access, healthcare, and social spaces
  • Reflect on how current social and political contexts impact individuals

This session supports a deeper, more culturally aware approach to inclusion.

Duration: 1.5 hours


Module Four

Discussion Session: Applying Learning in Practice

This interactive session provides space for reflection, discussion, and practical application.

Participants will:

  • Explore frequently asked questions
  • Reflect on what gender diversity means within their role
  • Discuss real-world scenarios and challenges
  • Build confidence in applying inclusive practices

This is an opportunity to embed learning and connect it directly to workplace contexts.

Duration: 1.5 hours


Full-Day Workshop Option

The full-day workshop brings together the core content above in a cohesive, immersive learning experience.

The day includes:

  • Interactive delivery of core modules
  • Facilitated discussions and group reflection
  • Practical exercises to embed learning
  • Dedicated time for questions and exploration

This format allows for deeper engagement, peer learning, and meaningful discussion.

Duration: 7-hours, in person workshop
