For The Diversity Trust, Emily is the Domestic Violence & Abuse Specialist and a Consultant in: 

• Understanding Domestic Violence and Abuse
• Gender Awareness

Emily has both an academic and practitioner background in the field of domestic violence and abuse.  Her PhD in Social Work focused on service provision for female victims of same sex domestic violence.  She was a University Lecturer in Understanding Society, a course aimed at potential non-traditional students.   

With extensive not-for-profit and public sector experience, she has held multiple roles in the domestic violence and abuse space.  These have included: Trainer and Campaign Co-ordinator for Bristol Domestic Abuse Forum; Domestic Violence & Abuse Survivor Groupwork Co-ordinator (Bristol) and Volunteer Co-ordinator for SARSAS (Avon and Somerset Sexual Abuse Service).
