Annie, a qualified youth and community development worker, has three decades’ experience in the impact space, at grassroots and the strategic level.  She’s a great believer in partnership working and leveraging participatory approaches to super charge positive impact.  As founder of her own consultancy, she and her team support philanthropists and companies on their impact journey.

Annie advocates for the grassroots and leveraging the input of Experts by Experience whenever appropriate. She believes that one way to do this is through community leaders who, as part of the communities that they serve, can connect with the most marginalised and minoritised communities.  However, there is a step before this of facilitating the development of community leaders and then empowering them.  Annie has worked with community leaders, designed courses for them and also leads on the Diversity Trust’s Community Voices course which enables organisations to support community leaders’ to amplify the positive difference that they make.

She is a proud member of the LGBT+ community and advocates on their behalf whenever the opportunity arises.
