Harriet Rose (she/they)

Harriet is the Volunteer Coordinator for the Diversity Trust.

In this role, Harriet leads on the enhancement and development of our LGBTQ+ Volunteering, networks and partnerships across the Southwest, including Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset, Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.

Harriet is a qualified youth and community worker, having spent 8 years leading an LGBTQ+ youth project in BANES, a background in youth, play and community work. She has skills in training, facilitation and group work. Her other role is at University of Bath as Public Engagement Lead for NIHR funded mental health research group focusing on youth mental health. Harriet has experience in working across diverse networks and organisations such as local authorities, health and education. She has managed services, paid staff, volunteers and young volunteers.

Harriet has spent over 15 years working and volunteering with charities, CICs, grassroots initiatives and in higher education, and having started their career as a volunteer youth workers she campions the power of volunteering for individuals, communities and organisations.

Harriet has lived experience as an LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent person and brings this experience to her work.

In their spare time, Harriet enjoys dancing, playing basketball and cold-water swimming. They still volunteer in several roles, as a director for a Neurodivergent led CIC, as a sports coach and to help facilitate sober social events.
